Trade beads and more

These lovelies start off with a handmade swirlie, made of pure copper.

The dangles include antique African trade beads – these were made in Venice in (most likely) the 1700s and then used widely for trade throughout Africa. I picked them up when I lived in Ethiopia.

You can also find some Ethiopian silver beads, and some funky silver wire beads. It’s hard to see in the pics, but the black beads are skulls – I’m not sure what they are made of.

Ear wires are stainless steel. Entire length (including ear wires) is just shy of 4″.
